The Director of Operations at Barton Supply plays a key leadership role in overseeing all aspects of the company’s manufacturing and supply chain operations related to rebar, structural steel, and construction materials. This position ensures operational efficiency, production excellence, and strategic alignment with organizational goals. The Director will lead cross-functional teams, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and drive initiatives that enhance safety, quality, and customer satisfaction across the business.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead day-to-day operations across rebar, steel fabrication, and supply distribution.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, engineering, procurement, and project management teams.

  • Drive quality, safety, and production efficiency while hitting cost and delivery targets.

  • Develop strategic plans to scale operations and support Barton’s long-term growth.

  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing practices.

  • Lead and mentor a high-performing team focused on execution and accountability.

What We’re Looking For

  • 10+ years of experience in operations or manufacturing leadership (construction supply or steel/rebar stongly preferred).

  • Proven ability to manage budgets, optimize resources, and lead cross-functional teams.

  • Strong understanding of supply chain, inventory control, and production planning.

  • Proficiency in ERP systems and manufacturing tools.

  • A hands-on, collaborative leader who can thrive in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Management, Operations, or related field required; MBA preferred.
  • Strategic training and development experience, with a people first culture that ties into the overall organizational strategy.
