About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Rebar Floor Supervisor to join our team for the 2nd shift (afternoon) in our rebar fabrication department. This position oversees daily shop operations, ensuring safety, quality, and production targets are met while fostering a positive, productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, mentor, and supervise the rebar shop floor team, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and company policies.
Monitor production schedules and quality standards to ensure timely delivery of projects.
Conduct daily inspections of equipment and materials, addressing any safety or quality concerns immediately.
Collaborate with internal departments including dispatch, sales, and inventory to streamline operations and minimize delays.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment across all machine centers.
Operate or assist with rebar processing machinery as needed.
Prepare and deliver reports on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and production metrics.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a rebar fabrication shop, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
Strong verbal and written communication skills; Spanish fluency is a plus.
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Teams, Word).
Mechanical aptitude with forklift and crane certifications required.
Familiarity with 5S, Lean, or LSS methodologies preferred.
Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 75 lbs.
Work Environment:
This is a hands-on role in a manufacturing setting, requiring the use of PPE and adherence to strict safety protocols. Exposure to loud noises and moving machinery is expected.
Schedule:
Full-time, 2nd shift (afternoon) with overtime as needed.
